ABOUT US

We created this organization to encourage education about the environment in North Sumatra. We believe that knowledge about the animals and plants surrounding us are extremely important, and we want to share what we've learned in our lifetimes living near jungle of Bukit Lawang with others. We do this through a variety of programs, ranging in duration from a few hours to nearly a month. In every one of these programs we will be learning, exploring and of course having fun!

These are the guides, assistant guides and porters that will be coming along on your trek:

Manager & Guide  Andreas Purba ( Sangab Purba )  - Andreas was born on November 15, 1966 and has been a guide for over 12 years. His knowledge of flora and fauna will give you more than just a normal trek, providing deep knowledge about the wilderness of rain forest. His skills in survival and spiritual energy and his knowledge of 3 languages (English, German and Dutch) will make your trek safe and comfortable. He is a fun guy, cheery, easy going and very smart.

Guide  Wolther Saragih - Wolther  was born on July 3, 1993 and has been a guide for almost 1 years in Gunung Leuser National Park, Bukit Lawang. In those 1 years he has gained special knowledge about the flora and fauna of the rain forest. He is not only known as a guide but also as a funny and skilled guy who makes your walk through the jungle comfortable and fun. He speaks English very well.
